Crab & Basil Spaghetti

Bee's Baking - Crab & Basil SpaghettiAdapted from Australian Good Taste


350g (dry weight) spaghetti
20g butter
2 tomatoes, deseeded and finely chopped
2 tablespoons (40ml) lemon juice
2 teaspoons lemon zest, grated
½ cup (125ml) chicken stock
300ml cream
1 tin (170g) crab meat
⅓ cup (80ml) basil leaves, torn
Salt and pepper, to taste


1. Cook pasta according to package directions, drain and set aside
2. Cook tomatoes in the butter for ~2 minutes, until soft
3. Add lemon zest, lemon juice, chicken stock, and cream, then cook for ~5 minutes until thickened slightly
4. Add crab meat and half the basil, cooking for ~2 minutes until crab is heated through
5. Add sauce to pasta, toss to combine, and top with remaining basil to serve

– Recipe yields 4 servings
– Each serving  contains ~536 calories, 64g carbs, 18g protein, and 20g fat
